THE NATION AND AUTHORITIES

          Father, You said You sought a man who would make a wall and stand in the gap for the land.  We are standing in the gap for the United States .  (Ez 22:30)  We thank You that it is returning to you and truly becomes one nation under God.  This nation was created to spread the gospel and stand with Israel and that will be done because we are standing in the gap for it.

          We hold up in prayer those men and women who are in positions of authority over us, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness, so the gospel of Jesus Christ can continue to spread and flourish.  (II Tim 2:1-2)

          We pray and intercede for President Bush and his family, Vice President Chaney and his family, the cabinet members, members of congress, the supreme court justices, the governors, and leaders in our states, the mayors and officials in our cities and counties, and those in authority over us in our workplace.

          We pray, Jesus, that You will open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the dominion of Satan to the power of God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by you.  (Act 26:18)

          We pray godly wisdom into their hearts and that they do Your will, Father.  (Pro 2:10)

          We pray that decisions made by our leaders are divinely directed by You, Lord.  (Pro 16:10)

          Because blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. (Ps 33:12)

          Satan, in Jesus' name, we bind you and order you to take your filthy hands off our leaders and their families.  In the name of Jesus, we speak to all positions occupied by those who refuse to do God's will and we command that those positions be emptied immediately and that they be filled with godly people.

          We thank You, Father, that Your word continues and spreads throughout every state, county, and city in this nation.  (Act 12:24)

          Thank You, Father, that as we decree a thing it shall be established, so we decree that the next President of the United States is a godly person who wants to do Your will.  We further decree that the US dollar remains strong over all foreign currencies as it is the primary currency used to spread the gospel throughout the world.  (Job 22:28)
